Laura Makla is a hot womenswear label that is made and produced in the USA. That alone grabbed my attention. Okay, honestly, her beautiful prints grabbed my attention, first. I saw her floating around in this gorgeous maxi dress and I fell in love with the oil-on-water-ish print that reminds me of my home country of Trinidad and Tobago.

Laura Makla is inspired by strong, empowered women. Her clothes definitely emanate such a spirit. Threads of womanhood are deeply embedded in her clothing. Her mother, Becky Makla, is a fine artist and designed the prints for her dresses. They are the result of an experiment using alcohol inks, liquid watercolor and yupo paper. Each dress is, literally, a work of art, straight from her family to yours.
Laura Makla's designs are for the woman who walks with elegance and a head held hide with pride. Click here to see more from her.
