This week, I finally chose a logo for Tabitha juSt, my womenswear clothing line. I spent a few months working with one graphic artist before realizing that our aesthetics weren't really meshing. Then, I went to a small business expo and was introduced to a small visual needs company. I've been working with them for a few weeks and we decided on a logo this week.
Things I looked out for when choosing a logo:
- It must be simple. Logos for fashion companies need to be equally chic on a business card and on a runway. I needed something very basic.
- It must be current but timeless. I needed the font to be fun and young but not easily age-able.
- It needs to have tasteless colors. Sometimes, colors can be a bit much, on business cards. I really wanted mine to be chic and clean.
- I won't love it every time I see it but I should like it, since I'll be looking at a million times before I die.
Flip the jump to see the logo I decided on.
I really like what we came up with. It makes me really excited for the next step in this process.
