I found this amazing blog called Ms Wanda's Wardrobe. They look critically at the fashion industry and actively ask questions of these brands about their non-ethical practices. Sometimes, their questions get ignored or deleted. Sometimes, they get answered. The aim is to bring about awareness and let these brands know that we, the consumers, are paying attention to what is happening to our clothing in the manufacturing process.

This post was especially enlightening to me. It's interesting to note that Topshop deleted their comment. I'm all for asking questions and starting discussions. I believe in transparency as much as possible. We, the consumers, have the buying power. We have the right to get answers to our questions. How can you make a difference in this specific issue? Head on over toTopshop's facebook page and leave a comment asking them about using cotton harvested by child slaves.  It's a simple step that can let them know that we, the consumers, want to know. We care.

As with everything you read, do your own research. Google the topic and find out more about it yourself. Don't take anyone's word for it.
